I love finding a good deal. This Anker Battery Bank is lighter on the wallet but performs like a premium battery bank. It’s got it’s own issues though…

Anker Power Bank 20000mAh Travel Essential Built-in USB-C 87W Review
-20k mAh/72Wh capacity
-has a built in USB-C cable
-one USB-C and A port
-nothing fancy about the status screen…it’s just a number
-Anker does pull a bit of marketing fluff out of it’s but
-Says its a 87W charger
-but the max is 65W on the C and 22.5 on the A
-has the following PDO’s and PPS protocol
-Anker went with a 5A PPS protocol so like the name says, it’s a laptop battery
-slightly above average in terms of accuracy for voltage and stability for the PDO’s and PPS
-in discharge testing, at max speeds the pack stopped at 30%
-I’m guessing it got too warm
-restarted the test and it cratered the last ~20%, went to 0 like that…
-overall, I pulled 53Wh which is bad against the 72Wh advertised
-for recharging, it hit 65W which charged the entire bank in under 90 minutes which is awesome
-higher than average temps for the discharge
-given the above average efficiency, this battery bank is decent in terms of energy density
I bought it from the Anker Outlet store for 25€, i guess i made a great deal
Is this better than the Anker Prime for laptop use? Which is the best powerbank for laptop charging?
Got mine for $50 on sale. Sounds like it was a good deal.
So it’s 65W. Not 87W.
You are the best tech reviewer I’ve seen in a LONG time. These are so fast and informative. I can look at a bunch, and get a general understanding of the product, advertising accuracy, and value. Great work!
